The sixth general conference and the fourteenth anniversary of Nepal Buddhist Council was concluded. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Bekha Ratna Shakya, former Mayor and Advisor of the proposed Sugata Buddhist College, as the chief guest. On this occasion, the Chief Guest gave away certificates to the students who had participated in the Buddhist class (organised by Nepal Buddhist Council). In the programme presided over by the Buddhist scholar Mr. Mahiswar Raj Bajracharya, Dr. Laxman Shakya had welcomed the guests, while Secretary General Mr. Poorna Man Chitrakar had presented the annual report. Similary, Mr. Shanta Harsha Bajracharya had expressed best wishes while the treasurer Mr. Buddhi Ratna Shakya had presented the financial report. In the programme, the social worker Mr. Yagna Ratna Shakya handed over a sum of Rs. 50,000.00 as a donation to Sugata Buddhist College. Likewise, Mr. Kaji Ratna Shakya donated Rs. 18,650.00 while Rs. 16,650.00 was also being contributed on behalf of the students participating in the Buddhist class.

In the programme, Mr. Mahiswar Raj Bajracharya was honoured by offering the khada (fine silk clothes). On this occasion, former Chairman of Public Service Commission Mr. Tirtha Man Shakya, former Secretary of National Women's Council Mr. Tej Raj Shakya and the Chief Guest too had expressed their views.
